Week Two

My second week in Cit was allot smoother as i have settled in allot more to my new surroundings. The main attraction to week two was CIT Clubs and Societies day. This event was held in the student center. They had Clubs and societies for almost every interest. For example From Soccer clubs to a trampoline club and Motor Society to the floppysoc society. Taking to Older students i learned of an amusing society named the "Pothole Society". Unfortunately they no longer exist.

The Cit resident DJ Hosted the event. Banging out the music. I must admit i relay enjoy him as a DJ and an entertainer. His choice of music is excellent and he is hilarious. They held demonstrations for the societies in the centre of the hall in front of the stage. I watched people climbing up a vertical steel girder, a judo exhibition, Surfing demonstration and trampolines. All in all CIT do put great effort in promoting Societies and Clubs. It really shows.

I am really learning more about my current modules for this semester and really getting to know what they are about. The c.i.t. class Thursday involved us pick a world leader as a group from 4 anonymous people all with different charistics. It taught us to eliminate the people we taught we the weakest or unsuitable for the role. It was quite amusing as when we were finished, their identities were revealed as very famous people in history. We as a group chose to pick Teddy Roosevelt. I enjoy this module as it is different from the rest, as you have fun as a class and shows you how to work in a team. Plus i also got to know my fellow students better.
